Liberal Pledge

Something not so crazy from Michael Moore:
Dear Conservatives and Republicans,

I, and my fellow signatories, hereby make these promises to you:

1. We will always respect you for your conservative beliefs. We will never, ever, call you "unpatriotic" simply because you disagree with us. In fact, we encourage you to dissent and disagree with us.

2. We will let you marry whomever you want, even when some of us consider your behavior to be "different" or "immoral." Who you marry is none of our business. Love and be in love -- it's a wonderful gift.

3. We will not spend your grandchildren's money on our personal whims or to enrich our friends. It's your checkbook, too, and we will balance it for you.

Dear Supporter,

I'm so proud of our campaign, our volunteers, our grassroots support, and you. We ran a first class campaign on a shoestring budget.

We ran for the right reasons at the right time. We held our opponent and this administration accountable. And we had lots of victories along the way.

I've received many heartwarming and encouraging emails and phone calls over the last couple of days. I greatly appreciate your support.

I've learned so much in the past two years and I want to put that to work here in Texas. I'm just not sure how, but when I decide - you'll be the first to know.
